labrador training help?

I just got a 3 month old labrador. I need some advice on how to train him in every way!!
PLS HELP
mainly interested in potty train, obedience and leash

We have a 4 month old lab at the moment and she has been fairly easy to train.

Remember to take the pup to the toilet outside after every feed, sleep or play session. It helps if you pick a command word straight away for the pup to go to the toilet. At our house the word is "quick quick", which Guide Dogs like to use because she is a guide dog puppy. We got her at 3 months old because the previous puppy raiser didn’t want her anymore but she has learned very quickly what "quick quick" means and will now go outside to the toilet on command. So, it’s taken a month which isn’t that long. When you give your command word and he goes to the toilet then praise him, say "good dog" or something similar and give him lots of cuddles or pats. He then will think that when he goes to the toilet that he has done something super special because you are so happy with him. At first the pup will have no idea what your command word means but if you say it every time he goes to the toilet then he will learn in a few weeks what it means. Trust me on this, just repeat it every time he goes with lots of cuddles and it can’t fail.

Do not scold the puppy if he messes in the house because until he is toilet trained he won’t know any better. It helps if you have him confined to one area overnight and put some newspaper down on the floor to make clean up easier. Positive training is the way to go. When you make a big fuss when they do something correctly then they will want to do more of what makes you happy.

At 3 months old you can start basic obedience training. Things like sit, come, stay will all be learned very quickly.

Also, start putting a collar and lead on him to get him used to wearing one. Even if you walk around your back yard with it on it will help. Just do it a few times a day and you can leave his collar on all the time if you want to.

Another good idea is to start getting him to wait for his food. When you put the food bowl down, instead of him just running up and starting to guts it all down, make him sit and teach him to wait until you say he can eat. If he rushes to his bowl and breaks the sit then pick up the bowl and try again. This will teach your dog that he can’t just have any food he wants to have, whether it’s dinner, treats or whatever. Our puppy will wait for ages till we tell her she can eat, usually we make her wait up to a minute or so. Also good for teaching the dog patience.

Just go slowly with the pup, he will pick things up fairly quickly, in the space of a few weeks and when he grows up you will have a very well behaved dog.
Congratulations for wanting to be a good dog owner.
