0 Meet Lyla a Retriever, Labrador currently available for adoption at Petango.com! 2/25/2011 4:42:28 PLyla is a 3 month old black lab puppy who was brought to the shelter because her previous owner could no longer afford to care for her. Lyla had already begun potty training in her previous home and lived indoors only (except for potty breaks outside). This happy girl lived with other dogs, cats, and children with whom she was reportedly very friendly. Crate training would be a wonderful way for Lyla’s new family to pick up where her previous family left off with house training. If you are adopting a puppy, the SHS recommends that you start crate training early! We know that some pet lovers don’t like the idea of crates. Some people even think they are cruel. This could not be further from the truth. Not only do crates help with housetraining, they also offer puppies and adult dogs a safe and comfortable space where they can stay while their people are away. This means no damaged shoes, furniture, or accidents. Coming home can be a happy experience for you and your dog! You will receive a tip sheet on crate training when you adopt.
