0 Meet Sport a Retriever, Labrador currently available for adoption at Petango.com! 2/28/2011 6:06:07Hi there everybody. My name is Sport and I am a 1-year-old, 70-pound, all black Labrador Retriever mix dog. I’ve come from another shelter in Michigan in order to find my forever family.

I am the very picture of Black Lab loveliness with my big-ole head, silky ears and warm, brown puppy eyes. I am sweet and happy and don’t understand what a big guy I am. I don’t think I was ever taught manners, but I want very much to please and make you happy that I just know I’ll be a good student if you’ll give me a chance. I’m looking for a loving and consistent friend who will work and play with me everyday. Due to my size and energy level the folks here think I should be in a family with older children, but I’m sure you’ll want to introduce me to your entire clan, (furry or otherwise) prior to adoption, to make sure we all get along. I like to think of myself as a work in progress, on the way to being the best companion anyone could ever have. I have a heart as big as Texas and just need someone who sees how terrific I will be and will help me get there. This is the season where wishes come true and I’m wishing my wish with all my heart, can you hear it?

Our In-shelter Canine Personal Trainers work with our dogs on loose leash walking, “down”, hitting the “easy” button, and using a doggie nail file. To learn more about giving your new canine companion a “Pawsitive Start” you can watch a video at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUiFfJOfoY4

Crate training is not for every dog and never to be used as punishment but often is a good idea to keep your new companion out of trouble while adjusting to their new home.

Sport’s adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and one free office visit within 10 days post adoption (cost of treatment not included).
