How to train my labrador to bark at strangers ?
He is 3 year old but my problem is that he doesn’t bark at any body he sees a cat and he doesnt bark he just stares at him and when stranges come over he likes them to touch him but i want him to attack well not attack just like bark he doesnt bark at night he just cries idk why i want him to bark at strangers help !!
I don’t get why you want him to bark at strangers, but here’s how to do it. You need to teach your dog to bark first. Find a situation when he barks and as he barks say "speak" or "bark" and reward him with attention, praise, food, or a toy. Make sure you don’t yell it at him. Stay excited and positive. Do that like 10 times. Then in the same situation, say the command and reward if he barks. If he doesn’t, go back to the first step. When he barks on command, show him that strangers mean to bark. Have a friend walk by. As he sees your friend, tell him to bark. If he barks, reward him. When your friend leaves his view, calmly say quiet or stop. Reward him if he stops. Do this two times a day everyday to get it consistent.

Then u should of gotten a dog that barks. Dogs have individual personalities which are not easy to change. Maybe you should get a second dog?

Some dogs are very relaxed like that. You may not be able to train him to do that because if he doesn’t do it naturally he may never be able to learn it. Look up how people train police dogs. That type of training falls under the same umbrella as what you want your lab to do.
(i suggest you don’t train him to actually attack or you could get sued)

You can send them to schools that specialize in protection, but usually a dog would have a natural protection trait in them. If it is not there you can send them to schools, other then that he most likely won’t bark. We have a black Labrador that is VERY protective of the family. He attacked the UPS man before and also another relative’s dog when he came near me. Also, we have Doberman’s and that is bred into the breed. They used Doberman’s for the wars and protectors. I would be careful about what you want to train your Lab though. When they bark or attack people you can become liable for lawsuits and other things. Good Luck.

I know about the breed and training.
dogs can sense danger and bad people and especially labradors i was raised with labs, and they are the most wonderful dog you can ask for, my lab saved my life when i was a kid. so i trust their instincts. labs are more of a mellow relaxed dog. if he senses someone is bad, barking may not be his way of letting you know that, watch his behavior very carefully, his crying may be a sign of stress, try this, have someone just barge into your house that you trust and that he has never met at all, have him try to "come" at you make sure it looks serious, to the dog, but trust the guy your gonna do this to, and just watch his change of behavior but in order for him to react the guy has to come in very aggressive not to the dog towards you personally. they are highly protective of their families. i promise you he’ll give you a sign that there is danger.
my dad learned this the hard way with me, he let a friend in the house that my dog didnt trust or know at all but was calm until i was in my room watching tv i was about 6ish, my dad was in the other room getting him something out of there i dont remember what, but his friend snuck by him and jumped on top of me and started molesting me, my dog didnt bark at all, he showed his teeth to him, but instead of attacking him, he wouldnt leave my dad alone until my dad was wondering what his problem was and followed him into my room, my dad flew in my room and pulled that jerk off of me, and once he did my dog was biting him every inch of his body.
i told my dad that my dog wasnt protecting me, like he was supposed to, and he told me, sweetie he came to get me, to pull that jerk off of me and then he went for him, the way he put it, the dog didnt want to hurt me trying to protect me so he waited for the guy to get away from me, and after that every guy that came into the house even if my dog knew him, he never left my doorway, and if his friend were to try to come back, my dog would run beside me and stand between us.

dogs are intellegent, and labradors i couldnt compare another dog to them, theyre my world i have about 4 labs now
Most labs are smart enough to realize when a situation is bad and will act accordingly.
That being said, you just dont have a good breed for a watch dog. Labs are naturally relaxed and sociable, enjoy what you’ve got!
I’ve got a cattle dog mix, and he’s the most ferocious 45lb watch dog you’ve ever met (though he’s been socialized plenty outside the home). Not training – just instinct. Your dog’s instinct it to befriend people!
